I'm Ben. I build the systems behind food businesses.

I'm a software engineer and I run Websmith on my own. I connect the systems a food business already runs on to the places its orders come from, so orders go straight into production instead of being typed in again.

Most of my work is for a multi-site Northern Ireland bakery and butcher group. I built the internal system that runs ordering, stock, production paperwork and deliveries, and the bakery's website that feeds cake orders straight into it.

Why one engineer and not an agency?

You talk to the person writing the code. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a project manager and a developer. When you ring about a problem, you're ringing the person who can fix it.

And if I'm unavailable?

A named backup developer has access to the code, hosting and accounts, so your system keeps running if I'm ever unavailable. It's written into the support agreement.
